Mr. Jairaj is a distinguished former IAS officer with over 30 years of exemplary service in governance, infrastructure, energy, and finance. Renowned for his strategic leadership, he held senior roles, including Additional Chief Secretary, Principal Secretary to the Chief Minister, and Founder and Managing Director of Bangalore International Airport. He also served with the World Bank, advising African nations on public sector reforms. A Harvard and Princeton alumnus, Jairaj brings deep expertise to corporate boards and public policy platforms. Passionate about inclusive development, he actively champions disability rights as President of AMC and supports affordable healthcare and education through multiple non-profit engagements.

Ms. Meera Ramchand

Ms. Meera Ramchand, Hon. Vice President at AMC, is a dedicated educator with a BA, B.Ed, and D.Ed in Special Education. She began her career at Bethany Special School in 1984 and joined the Association for the Mentally Challenged (AMC) in 1985. As Principal until 1994 and Hon. Secretary from 1996, she has been the pillar who built and nurtured AMC. Inspired by her sister, a psychiatrist, Meera has devoted her life to supporting individuals with special needs. She served on the Governing Council of the National Trust for eight years. She studied special education practices in the Netherlands through a KPAMRC scholarship, which strengthened her leadership in the field of special education.

Mr. Ganapati. M. Hegde, a Fellow Chartered Accountant with over 34 years of professional experience, serves as the Treasurer on the Managing Committee of AMC. As a seasoned expert in financial accounting and auditing, he brings extensive knowledge of Income Tax and GST matters, advising a variety of organisations. His commitment extends beyond his profession into active social engagement. As Treasurer, he ensures robust financial oversight, compliance, and accountability in all fiscal matters of AMC, significantly contributing to the organisation’s financial health and integrity.

Ms. Bharathi Raghuram

Ms. Bharathi Raghuram, an alumna of Mount Carmel College, is a dedicated homemaker and social worker with a global perspective shaped by years spent in the USA and West Germany. Her longstanding association with AMC spans over 20 years, during which she has served as a Committee Member, Joint Secretary, and is currently Vice President. Bharathi brings to AMC her deep compassion for children with special needs, strong leadership skills, and excellent organisational abilities. Her involvement with multiple charitable organizations reflects her lifelong commitment to service and inclusion, ensuring that children with special needs receive the care, opportunities, and dignity they deserve.

Dr. Kalpana Sampath is a visionary social entrepreneur, a transformative leader, and a compelling orator with over three decades of dedication to human development and social consciousness. As the Director of EFIL and Arpitha Associates and Hon. Secretary of the Association for the Mentally Challenged, she has empowered thousands through life education, leadership coaching, and values-driven transformation. Her pioneering initiatives have impacted many lives by blending behavioral science, spirituality, and the arts. As an author of six books, researcher, and theatre artist, she brings empathy, clarity, and creative energy to every endeavor. Kalpana’s inspiring journey continues to shape a generation of conscious, courageous, and purpose-led leaders.

Krishnamoorthy Ananthasivam (Kichu) is a seasoned IT leader with degrees from IIT Chennai, Queen’s University (Canada), and Wharton’s AMP. Over his 28-year career at Infosys, he rose from software engineer to Vice President, leading global delivery for the Retail, CPG, and Logistics verticals. He also established and led the Trivandrum Development Centre. Deeply committed to social impact, Kichu serves as a Managing Committee Member at the Association for the Mentally Challenged (AMC), where he plays a key role in strategic planning and CSR engagement. He actively mentors NGOs and startups, combining technical acumen with a heartfelt commitment to inclusion and community development.

Maya Chandra, Founder-Director of MAYA Films, is a visionary filmmaker and changemaker with over 30 years of experience in video production. A Mass Communication graduate from Emerson College, she began her career at CBS before founding MAYA in India, where she has produced over 750 impactful films. Her award-winning work—including Dada Saheb Phalke honours—encompasses healthcare, education, and social justice. As Joint Secretary of AMC, she champions inclusion and advocates for special needs communities. Her acclaimed documentaries and digital projects seamlessly blend creativity with purpose. Recognised as a Trailblazer by The Times of India, Maya utilises storytelling to drive change, preserve heritage, and inspire a more equitable world.

Mr. K. S. Ramdas, an alumnus of IIM Ahmedabad and the Delhi School of Economics, is a seasoned banker with nearly three decades of experience at JPMorgan Chase in New York, where he led key initiatives and earned the prestigious Excalibur award. He later returned to Bangalore to spearhead a small finance bank license. As Chairman of the Finance Committee at AMC, he offers substantial financial expertise. A committed Rotarian and Major Donor, Ram champions social causes like disability inclusion. Notably, he was a core committee member of Project Enrich, which supports families of individuals with intellectual disabilities, showcasing his passion for service and financial empowerment.

Dr. Pratima Narayan brings over two decades of expertise in legal consulting, academia, and dispute resolution. As a managing committee member of AMC, she plays a pivotal role in ensuring legal compliance and shaping policy frameworks with precision and foresight. Known for her calm presence, sharp focus, and exceptional attention to detail, she is deeply committed to creating meaningful change. A mentor to young professionals and a passionate advocate for the rights of persons with disabilities, Dr. Pratima blends legal acumen with compassion, championing inclusion and justice through every initiative she supports.

Ms. Meena Raghunathan

Ms. Meena Raghunathan, a member of the Managing Committee at AMC, has over 35 years of experience in development, corporate social responsibility (CSR), and public policy. At the Centre for Environment Education, she pioneered nationwide environmental education. As CSR Head at GMR Group, she developed large-scale programs in education, health, and livelihoods and led anti-sexual harassment initiatives. She helped establish the Andhra Pradesh State Skill Development Corporation. A board member in corporate and non-profit sectors, she teaches sustainability and ethics at the postgraduate level. An acclaimed author, she has written books on corporate social responsibility and raising resilient children in a complex world.

Dr. L. Ravindran is a seasoned management professional, entrepreneur, author, and expert in financial services with extensive global experience. Deeply committed to social causes, he is particularly passionate about supporting differently-abled children and currently serves on the Managing Committee of AMC. He is the former President of the Bangalore Chamber of Industry and Commerce (BCIC) and has mentored numerous start-ups through his board roles. He is also an active member of the IIMA Alumni Association (Bangalore Chapter) and the Bangalore International Centre (BIC). His hobbies include golf and wildlife photography.

Mr. Sivakumar Ramamoorthy (Siva) is a global entrepreneur and corporate leader with deep expertise in healthcare software, AI in the pharmaceutical industry, and semiconductor design. He has held leadership roles at Intel, VMware, and Ephicacy Lifesciences and led cross-border ventures across Europe, Asia, and the US. A Kellogg MBA and published author, Siva is a sought-after speaker on AI and healthcare. He currently leads a consulting practice focused on innovation and business transformation. As a Managing Committee Member of AMC, Siva brings a global perspective, strategic insight, and a deep commitment to advancing impactful, future-ready leadership in India’s innovation and healthcare ecosystems.

Ms. Tanya Meghna Jairaj is a legal professional and Managing Committee Member at AMC, committed to advancing social justice through law and policy. A graduate of University Law College, Bangalore, she began her career in litigation before moving into the development sector. Her work spans public health, education, livelihoods, and impact investing across global contexts. As Programme Director at the Piramal Foundation’s Tribal Health Collaborative, she led efforts to promote equitable healthcare and strengthen local democracy. Tanya brings a powerful blend of legal acumen and purpose-driven leadership to every role she takes on.
