Each child at the Special School is supported through an Individualized Education Program (IEP), tailored to their needs and potential. The curriculum combines academic learning, life skills education, social-emotional growth, and creative expression through music, dance, painting, and crafts.
Children are taught daily living-skills and social behaviours. Considerable focus is given to fine motor and gross motor development. Yoga and physical education sessions boost coordination and overall health.
With ongoing improvements in teaching methods, learning materials, and digital tools—including smart TVs and tablets, the classrooms have become even more vibrant.
Progress is carefully tracked using formats from the National Institute for the Empowerment of Persons with Intellectual Disabilities (formerly NIMH). Parents are engaged through regular meetings, and special behavioural challenges are addressed using psychosocial interventions and counselling support.
The Vocational Training Centre of AMC is serving the purpose of occupational therapy and rehabilitation of adults with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities (IDD).

Each vocational path is tailored to the individual’s abilities and goals. Assessments monitor progress in cognitive skills, adaptive behaviours, independence, communication, and social competence—supporting vocational planning and program enhancement. Through this training, students build confidence, develop skills, and find a way to achieve economic independence.
AMC plans to market these plants nurtured by out beneficiaries to hotels, corporates and the general public creating another revenue model and thereby enable a stipend to the beneficiaries.
